New England GreenStart is a way for you to choose renewable energy. When you sign up, your household electricity usage will be matched to local renewable resources including solar, wind, biomass, and small hydroelectric plants from New England.

New England GreenStart costs a little more, in addition to your regular electricity service. For 100% of your electricity consumption, it's 2.4 cents per kilowatt hour, or about 40 cents per day for the average home. You can also choose to green 50% of your usage, for about 20 cents per day. Either way, the premium you pay for New England GreenStart goes directly to renewable energy development and is 100% tax-deductible.
